A Cook County Alderwoman’s top aide used the Cook County Land Bank Authority to wipe out more than $200,000 of taxes and interest he would otherwise have had to pay. The Cook County Land Bank Authority then sold the property back to the aide’s business partner for $40,000, costing Cook County tax payers over $160,000.
