Cook County Property Tax Portal

The Cook County Property Tax Portal contains a user-friendly search function that allows you to search for a property by address or by PIN.  The Property Tax Portal provides information gathered from the Recorder of Deeds, the Treasurer, and the  Assessor’s records. This website contains the most information you can find in one place on the status of a property.

Cook County Assessor

The Cook County Assessor’s site allows you to search the assessments and characteristics of homes or other residential properties on a specific block. It also contains a listing by township of the dates when assessment notices are mailed and the last date for filing assessment complaints. There is a guide to the assessment process and information regarding tax exemptions. The site also contains information about programs available for senior citizens. You can also get a listing of the property tax code classifications.

You can determine whether the current year’s real estate taxes are paid.  You can also pay the current year’s taxes online.

Cook County Clerk: Delinquent Property Tax Search

This website provides a searchable database of all delinquent Cook County Property Taxes.  Users can search their real estate by PIN for any taxes that are delinquent on their property.

This site utilizes the latest Geographic Information System (GIS) data, as well as street-level and ortho-aerial photography from our Image Management System (IMS).

Clerk of the Circuit Court County Division Case Search

Click on “County Case Search.” Access to electronic docket information for County Division cases.  You can enter a PIN and determine whether a Petition for Tax Deed has been filed.

Cook County Recorder of Deeds

Shows all documents recorded with regard to a specific parcel.  You can view recorded documents for free but must pay $2.50 to download them.

Circuit Clerk of Will County

The Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court is responsible for maintaining a record of all traffic, civil, and criminal cases filed and heard in Will County. On a daily basis, the office interacts with the public and attorneys performing several functions including the collection and disbursement of traffic fines, civil fees, and child support. The Illinois Department of Revenue maintains a web site as well. It contains various tax forms and publications which you can download with the Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is available as a free download.
