Josephine’s Cooking hasn’t paid property taxes in 12 years. However, the Cook County Land Bank Authority, a county government agency, continued to bid on the property through the no-cash bid process. That prevented other tax buyers from bidding on the property and paying all or some of the real estate taxes.....until the 2022 Scavenger Tax Sale that took place this past February.
